The Human Romance is Darkest Hour’s seventh studio and was released on February 22, 2011 in North America through E1 Music and March 7 in Europe through Century Media Records. Recorded in Ashville and Winston Salem, NC in September over a 5 week period The Human Romance was produced and recorded by Peter Wichers (Soilwork) and was mixed by Paul Leavitt and Brian McTernan. A return to thier more melodic side The Human Romance ushers in yet another new chapter for darkest hour combining the fury and power of the past with the persision, musicality, and the sonic nature of the future. The cover art features the famouse “embracing skeleton’s” photo and was liscnesed from the French free press to Darkest Hour. Amidst a turbulent economy and record industry The Human Romance broke the US Billboard top 200 again and world touring on the Human romance comenced. With worldwide attention Darkest Hour released a sting of video’s for songs on the record including: “Savor the Kill, Love As A Weapon, and Your Everyday Disaster.”
